A Virtual Reality sculpting experiment with 3d scanning
Work was started using an Xbox 360 Kinect and Scanect [and the help of my assistant Jack Goodwin]. Only the forward facing surfaces were created due to a glitch during the scan, but I found the errors to be beautiful and decided to work with them. I utilized the Oculus Rift and Medium to sculpt the mass and Meshmixer to combine the mass with the scan. I then sliced the model into smaller chunks in Meshmixer and imported them into Medium as stamps so that I could resculpt the pose to seem more dynamic than the original scan. Still unfinished...
